Title: Emily (Edel and Ewan)
Post by: CWazyTom on June 12, 2018, 06:12:25 PM
Edel Murphy and Ewan Cowley teamed up on the single Emily.

You can listen to it below and purchase it if you wish:

From the site:

The song marks the 100th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage and the 105th anniversary of the death of suffragette Emily Wilding Davison.  When protesting for women’s votes at the Epsom Derby in June 1913 she was knocked down by the King’s horse and died of her injuries a number of days later.  The song also gives voice to Herbert Jones, the jockey involved in the tragedy.

Here's a video with Lyrics:

The two of them sound great singing together.  They both have soothing voices and the harmony is quite pleasant as well.

If you enjoyed this one, check out his other songs on his Bandcamp page.

Edel and Ewan actually have a separate page on Bandcamp.  It's definitely worth listening to Bluebonnet Spring, an EP which Ewan and Edel also recorded together:

The EP is well done and has some very effective harmony.  I can't get enough of Edel.  She truly one of the most overwhelmingly beautiful voices in the world.
