Orla is performing in Toronto on Dec 1, 2018 as part of Celtic Christmas with the Upper Canada Chorus:

Show time:
7:30 PM
Dec 1, 2018

Location:
Toronto Centre for the Arts (I saw Chloë there last year and it's a pretty nice place).

Tickets go on sale starting this afternoon!

The best part is it's on a weekend, so in spite of having used up all my vacation days (except a few I'm saving for CaraNua), I can finally go see her!

I'll be seeing Celtic Woman, Orla, and Chloë within the span of a week, all within 3 hours drive!

Come on CaraNua, let's make it 4 shows that week!

I got tickets!

Sadly, before the release to the general public, all the good seats were taken. I managed to get seats in row G, which were the best available remaining within about 15 seconds of the tickets going on sale to the public.

It would have been nice to be closer, but I'm very excited to finally see Orla!

That will be really cool to see Orla in concert!  Her voice is so unique ("haunting" as David Downes put it).  I see there is still a seat available in row G if anyone wants it!  Hmm, Air Canada could fly me there and back for $408 with direct overnight flights and I wouldn't miss work...

OMG!

I just heard back from the Upper Canada Chorus who said that Orla will be doing a M+G in the Lobby after the concert, where she will be selling posters and CDs!

Wooooo going to hopefully finally meet Orla!!!!!!

I would have gone to see her in Toronto a couple of years ago, but I found out about the concert late (wasn't doing as much on social media / forums back then), had on-call commitments at work that week, and by the time I was able to try to trade off my on-call shift, the concert was sold out :(

I had a lot of regrets about missing out on that concert.

It looks like this year is about to get even more amazing for me from a Celtic Woman perspective than it already was:
- 2 Celtic Woman Homecoming shows for which I didn't have to drive more than 4 hours
- 2 Celtic Woman shows at Johnstown Castle for the DVD recording
- At least 1 Celtic Woman M+G (might have a second one coming up this year ... fingers crossed)
- Got to hug Sue again at Johnstown Castle
- Got to see Chloe with an orchestra (and have one more Chloe show coming up)
- Got to meet Amy Rivard again and to be in one of her music videos
- Finally saw and met Edel Murphy
- Got to see Lisa Lambe in Jimmy's Hall in Dublin
- Finally going to see Orla!

Sadly, no Lisa Kelly show this year and looks like CaraNua will have to wait until next year, but other than that, this has been a really amazing year for Celtic Woman stuff.
