Merry Christmas to everyone & Happy New Year!

Thanks for the warm welcome, Glen & everyone!

It looks like 2023 will be a quiet year for CW. So we'll just have to talk about them here & share old pics.

A Christmas Symphony Tour 2022 / Re: Ornament
« on: December 19, 2022, 07:45:55 PM »
Nice! I didn't see those at the first show in CA!

If you look on the CW Twitter page, there's a picture of a 'Christmas card' too. I didn't see those either!

Anyways, thanks for sharing your ornament!

Here's a pic of the VIP badges we got at the Christmas concert.

@ Evening Star: Thanks for the review! During the show, I was hoping someone would post the set list. It went by so fast. Interestingly, there was no intermission @ the 1st show in CA. Auld Lang Syne was definitely one of my favorites of the show (and of all time) too! Have you heard Lisa Lambe's version?

And oh my goodness the highlight of not only the night but of this entire year of Celtic Woman concerts was Tara performing Greensleeves. It was breathtaking! I really really missed her performing the gorgeous slow songs like that, which really should have been in the Celebration and Postcards tours.

@ Tracie : 100% agree! I was cheering at the top of my lungs after that one. She adds her own flair in the middle, and the finish is slow & grand. Reminds me of the concert version of 'For the Love of a Princess'. So good!

That pic was the first time my husband and I met Tara! It was in June 2018 on the Homecoming tour. We were walking around a park next to the venue in the afternoon before the show and Tara was on a walk. We said hello to her and that we were huge fans and she stopped and talked to us for a few minutes. She's such a sweetheart, as they all are. Getting to talk to the ladies is part of our fun of going to shows, they are so lovely to talk to and are amazing with their fans.

Oh that's so cool! I was trying to figure it out because that looks more like your backyard than it does the stage door or a M&G. That's a sweet pic!

Celtic Woman / Re: Songs You Wish Celtic Woman Would Perform
« on: December 11, 2022, 01:38:20 AM »
I'm new. I'm having fun reading all these threads.

Now we are free - Lisa K sang it on her solo disc. Celtic thunder sang it. Andrea Bocelli sang it.
Yes, the Gladiator song! I love Lisa Kelly's version and CT too. 100% agree.

I've always wanted them to sing 'Noble Maiden Fair' from Disney's movie "Brave". Yes, I know it's in Scottish. Tara could do an instrumental version quite easily too.

OMG Tracie! That pic you have in your avatar is awesome! What's the story on that? Post a link if you've already told that story before.

Thank you! From what I can tell, a lot of members know each other from another CW forum. How long does that go back?

So I have always been more of a Celtic Thunder fan. I started liking CW more than CT only in the last few years. So I'm a bandwagon fan. (Sorry!) I've been catching up by buying the "best of" CDs first.

My favorite songs (right now) are: Love and Honour, and For the Love of a Princess.

My "Mt Rushmore" of CW is: Tara, Eabha, Hayley, Lisa Lambe.

This year, my family went to two CW concerts. Here are some highlights for me.

Postcards:
Got the Meet & Greet from our local PBS station. In fact, we waited in line with our PBS contact & got to know her. I am so thankful we got to meet Chloe on her 'special guest' tour of duty. Especially since we never went to any CW concerts years ago. They were all wearing facemasks, so the pictures are only 'ok' - nothing worthy of a Christmas card photo.

Christmas Symphony:
We got great tickets from our PBS station again. But then the event manager selected our family to sit front row center in the VIP section. She explained to me she likes to move kids there. Good thing we brought our daughter! Megan winked & waved at her many times in the show. And they could hear anything we wanted to cheer to them. Best seats ever!

I'll introduce myself & my family later.

First off, I wanted to thank everyone on this forum for all the info on this site. Before joining, I have used this site specifically for concert / tour info, meet & greet info, and all the behind-the-scenes info you all are so good at finding.

So this is my first order of business. THANK YOU!

I didn't buy it, or I'd post a pic. It's all red, like the Christmas Symphony tour image on the CW website. Inside, each singer has a 2 page layout with a fake signature / autograph. Not a lot of other pages. My daughter looked at it real quick at the merch table.

BTW, they have black t-shirts, red t-shirts, black blankets / throws, and the program. And I think that was it.

(This is my first post. My second post will probably be in the New Member forum.)
