Chloë release 2 albums prior to her time in Celtic Woman:
- Chloë (2002)
- Walking In The Air (2004)

Since she moved on from Celtic Woman, she released an EP called Heartstrings (2016), which was (and still is) available at Chloë's tour shows and through some of her online concerts.

Chloë has taken her time, patiently experimenting with different styles and sounds. She wanted to find something she could be proud of, while remaining true to herself.

Record Label

On July 18, 2017, Chloë announced (excitedly) that she had signed with a record label and was working on a new album:
https://www.facebook.com/ChloeAgnew/videos/1790823137599551/

Her new label is called:

    Spachtula Music Group

Like An Angel

In 2017, Chloë released a single called Like An Angel.

- Written and produced by Joshua Spacht.
- Additional production and mix by Chris Bevins.
- Vocal production and engineering by Scott Frankfurt.
- Mastered at Georgetown Masters.
- Orchestrated by Joshua Spacht and Thomas Grassi.
- Orchestra recorded at Ocean Way, Nashville (conducted by Joshua Spacht).

Here is Chloë's release of the single Like An Angel:

For those interested, here's Joshua Spacht's original recording, before Chloë was involved:

It does sound REALLY good with him singing it too, but Chloë's voice adds a whole new dimension of special. Chloë says he wrote the song with someone like her in mind.

Status

In 2017, she finished recording songs for her new EP. I believe it's 5 or 6 tracks, including Like An Angel.

Chloë is just going through the process of tweaking the masters. The EP will most likely release this year (2018).

The wait has been a long one, but I know the wait will be worth it. She is a very special performer.  <3

--- SPOILER WARNING ---

I think these might be some of the songs from Chloë's long-awaited new album with Joshua Spacht :o

Chloë hasn't said anything yet, so I've been keeping them quiet. I don't want to spoil her surprise.  ;)

Feel free to listen, but PLEASE don't go posting about these all over social media yet. Chloë will tell us when she's ready.  :)

That said, people are going to find these eventually, since they're posted publicly and searchable.

Like "Like An Angel" these sound AMAZING!!!! They're all very different sounds and styles too.

UPDATE: Now that Chloë's album has been released, I'm restoring the links!

Across the Raging Sea
https://soundcloud.com/joshuaspacht/across-the-raging-sea
... A song Joshua Spacht originally wrote for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Viva La Vida
https://soundcloud.com/joshuaspacht/viva-la-vida-chloe-agnew-cover-arranged-and-produced-by-joshua-spacht
... A cover of the Coldplay song.

No Good
https://soundcloud.com/joshuaspacht/no-good-chloe-agnew
... It's REALLY good!

Here's the original version of Across the Ranging Sea, performed by Ayana Haviv (done 6 years ago, before Chloë was involved):

https://soundcloud.com/joshuaspacht/across-the-raging-sea-syrenas

She has a pretty voice and it's unquestionably a beautiful version. Chloë's version has an EPIC amount of power though.

It was probably written for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). It would be around the right time frame for when the song was posted to Sound Cloud, after the film released

I think if Chloë had performed the original version Disney would have been insane not to pick that one up. The intensity of the score and vocals would have fit perfectly with Hans Zimmer's thunderous (and usually awesome) score. With Chloë singing, this actually reminds me a lot of the Michael Bolton version of "Go the Distance." That one also featured moments of overwhelming power and it might be the most spectacular of all the Disney songs. He can't sing like Chloë can though.  ;)

"No Good" is an original song, not a cover.

I'm not sure if these are for the album or some other project they were working on together.

Something just doesn't add up if these are songs from the album. It would make very little sense to post them early and tell no one. The 4 songs we know of so far that Joshua Spacht and Chloë all sound great, but I can't really think of a common theme that would find them all on the same album. It would just be 4 random songs, which is possible, but it just doesn't feel like it.

They're definitely studio-quality recordings and far too good to be rejects. My best guess at the moment is these are actually songs that he recorded for his own project, not Chloë's album. They probably just recorded them at around the same time they were working on hers.

UPDATE: After digging, I have a good idea of why there haven't been many updates on this since early this year, but because it's a personal issue (and not directly related to Chloë) I'm not going to get into it here. Just expect whatever schedule they had to be pushed back a bit and know that there's a good reason for it.

I should be able to put the links back up and spread the word once I make sure they're not mistakenly posted tracks from the album.

Thoughts

Woohoo!!!

So ... two of the tracks that were found on SoundCloud are on the album, Like An Angel (the single from last year) is not. Across the Raging Sea (from SoundCloud) is not.

I guess Across the Raging Sea is for one of Joshua Spacht's projects.

Chloë's Big Announcement(s)

Chloë had a huge announcement live on Facebook today (several, actually):

https://www.facebook.com/ChloeAgnew/videos/2140276482654213/

Chloë comes on at about 2:40 into the video.

She was very excited about her new EP and had a few massive announcements:
1. The album released today, a day earlier than scheduled!
2. She did a music video for the album's title track! The worldwide debut was on her Facebook live stream!
3. There's a 'The Thing About You' tour coming and wants to know where she should come perform for her Chlovërs!
4. There's going to be new merch on her site!

I've listened to the EP and as promised, it is very different and it sounds AMAZING!

The official EP release party is tomorrow.

Here's the music video from the title track The Thing About You!

Here's Chloë's music video for the title track, "The Thing About You"   :)

Thoughts about The Thing About You

The Thing About You is Chloë's first all-out pop album. It's a very different sound from her previous albums, but in this transition she sacrificed none of her trademarks. At the heart of the music are still her tremendous passion and her beautiful voice.

Besides Chloë's beautiful vocals, the album does share some other similarties to her previous albums, particularly, the outstanding piano accompaniment for Say It Anyway and Viva la Vida.

The songs on the EP differ not only from her previous work, but from each other. There's quite a bit of contrast between the tracks. There are some fun, catchy, head-bobbers and some slower songs that tug at the heartstrings.

The song selections and Joshua Spacht's strong arrangements are well-suited to her voice. She gets to express a wide variety of emotions with her gorgeous voice and gets to show off both her range and power. Every song on the EP has something special to offer.

Like An Angel and Across the Raging Sea are not on the album. Those are Joshua Spacht's songs. He previously released them with other singers. Chloë re-recorded the songs with Spacht. They're fantastic, but they're not her songs. Viva la Vida is also a cover, but as a very popular song, it has the potential to draw in fans from outside her existing fan base.

I'd say any of these songs have the potential to go mainstream. Then again, so did Like An Angel. The songs and the singer are certainly good enough, but whether or not a mainstream audience would embrace them, I suppose only time will tell.

After she left Celtic Woman, Chloë spent a lot of time trying to re-discover herself. I think it's safe to say she found what she was searching for. She is perfect for these songs. I am so proud of her for having the courage and patience to see this through and I feel so lucky to know such a wonderful performer.
