I was browsing for Celtic Woman shows and found this:
From delicate traditional Irish carols to magnificent uplifting anthems, Celtic Woman has a wealth of seasonal music to gladden your heart. Hear stunning new arrangements of the classic Silent Night and the ancient Gaelic carol Dia do Bheatha from their brand new album, The Magic of Christmas.

WOWWW!!!!
My hypothesis for a third album with
Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls part is true!
Mairead Carlin singing Jingle All the Way!😂👌😍😍😍🎧

Yes yes yes yes yes!! I've been wanting a Christmas album from this current lineup! Thank you fabulous ladies! And now we know what new music they were learning and recording recently! Eeeeeeek!!!
-
The Magic of Christmas is already listed on Target's website with an October 22nd release date!
-
Ha! I knew it! This is the best sort of news! I'm so excited!
-
If the album is supposed to release next month... Shouldn't they better announce it soon?

I would think so! I find it funny that we find out so many of these things before they make the official announcements!

Celtic Woman did a photoshoot - probably promo for the new album?

Great find, thanks for sharing! Now I'm going to contemplate which ones are solos for each of them.....?
-
Speculation! Yes! Let's speculate. First of all, I'd like to say I would have loved a few more new songs on it, but the ones that are new are some I've wanted them to sing for years, and the old songs are some which I love very much, so I'm good. Anyway, let's have a look at the list:
01. We Wish You A Merry Christmas - Surely a group number
02. Angels We Have Heard On High - Same, but you never know
03. Do You Hear What I Hear - Group or duet
04. Deck The Halls - Group
05. O Come, O Come Emmanuel - Probably a solo, could be for any of them
06. Amid The Falling Snow - Also probably a solo. Never heard it before, but got a feeling it's for Megan?
07. O Holy Night - Probably a group number, but could be a surprise solo
08. Sleigh Ride - Probably a group number
09. Greensleeves - Certainly for Tara, since they used the title Greensleeves rather than What Child Is This?
10. Dia Do Bheatha - I'm sure it's for the group, but maybe for Éabha?
11. Carol Of The Bells - Tara or group
12. Wexford Carol - Probably a solo, don't know for whom
13. Silent Night - No idea!
14. Auld Lang Syne - Group
15. Feliz Navidad - Group
-
I agree. I would have liked if there were more new ones, but the old ones are probably brand new arrangements. Plus, knowing them, they MIGHT put out a delux version with more new ones. And if they do a Christmas special next year, there will probably be even more new ones that they'll put on a Christmas EP like they did the last two times haha.
-
There's definitely a possibility of a deluxe version or Target exclusive. I'm hoping for a DVD filming next year too! Here's my speculation, which is really fun to think through!
01. We Wish You A Merry Christmas - Group
02. Angels We Have Heard On High - Group
03. Do You Hear What I Hear - Mairead & Megan duet
04. Deck The Halls - Group
05. O Come, O Come Emmanuel - Megan
06. Amid The Falling Snow - this one's an Enya song, so I'd say Eabha
07. O Holy Night - was a group song on tour last year, but Mairead's voice really stood out so I'd say Mairead
08. Sleigh Ride - Group
09. Greensleeves - Tara
10. Dia Do Bheatha - Group
11. Carol Of The Bells - Group
12. Wexford Carol - Group
13. Silent Night - Eabha & Tara duet
14. Auld Lang Syne - Group
15. Feliz Navidad - Group

It seems that Amid The Falling Snow has been released as a single - but sadly, it isn't available in my country.

I listened to Amid the Falling Snow.
I LOVE IT!!!!
It's so fresh and pretty! It has everything from enchanting solo parts to gorgeous harmony. It also mixes in a dash of other Christmas songs.
Celtic Woman announced the release dates as follows:
- The CD & Digital Album are now available for pre-order (Oct 18th outside North America)
- Released on Oct 25th (Nov 8th outside North America)
-
Amid the Falling Snow is sooooo beautiful! I love it so much! ❤💚
-
this new song is really beautiful. If this is a hint as to what the rest of the CD is going to be like this will be a big hit all around
-
I am officially OBSESSED with the song! It is SOOOOO GORGEOUS!
-
Now that we know Amid the Falling Snow is a group song, is everyone's guesses about the other songs still the same?
-
Hmmm, so I said Amid the Falling Snow would be an Eabha solo, so now I'll put my Eabha solo pick on Dia Do Bheatha.
-
Tomorrow's the big day!!! YES!!!!!
-
I'm downloading the album from itunes at midnight ET tonight (11pm my time) and listening immediately!!
-
Oh my goodness, I just listened all the way through The Magic of Christmas in stunned awe with my jaw on the floor! The entire album is so gorgeous and incredibly fresh and fun! I am completely in love with every song! So excited to see it live in just 6 weeks!

I hope that radio stations that play Christmas Music add that to their playlists. Also politics aside maybe Rush Limbaugh and other talk show hosts should add tracks from this cd to their bumper music rotations in December.
