Massive Celtic Woman news today! https://www.facebook.com/celticwoman/videos/10156533729192838/We’ve been enjoying a bit of time off since our tour finished in June but have lots of exciting news on the horizon!
The first bit of news to share is that we will be filming a brand new tv special against the backdrop of the enchanting Johnstown Castle in county Wexford, Ireland. This will be the first big outdoor concert special that Celtic Woman has filmed since 2009’s Songs From The Heart.
Although the concert will not be on sale, we will have an invited audience there on the night. We will be offering a selected amount of complimentary tickets to our dedicated followers. To register your interest please email castle@celticwoman.ie

For the first time, CaraNua has announced a new member: Lisa Nolan! Lisa was part of the Babylon Sisters, along with Lynn Hilary and Rebecca Winckworth. I'm unsure if one of the original members has other commitments (ie. the upcoming Celtic Woman Best of Christmas / 2019 tours) or if CaraNua is expanding to 4 members. Here's the Facebook post with the big news! https://www.facebook.com/caranua/photos/a.1188292101235077.1073741830.1174832965914324/1942618735802406/?type=3&theaterCaraNua welcomes the highly talented and beautiful Lisa Nolan as the newest member to the ensemble. Lisa has graced Ireland’s most prestigious theatre stages, concert halls and TV screens in Ireland in her extensive career.
We are extremely excited to be working with Lisa and have no doubt you will enjoy meeting her very much. (You can learn more about Lisa on our newly designed website due to launch soon).
We have been working hard behind the scenes! Watch this space, exciting things ahead!!!!

I suspect that Celtic Moods (Fir Na Keol: David Downes + David Agnew) and Lift the Wings (David Agnew) are the same album.
The track listing is the same for both albums.
It's odd that a lot of the major discography sites don't seem to make this connection (neither album is listed as a release variant of the other).

According to Glenn&Ronan's Instagram story, they're planning a tour, including in the US (possibly around October).

Yeah, I couldn't hear that over the air conditioner.
She'll tell us when she's ready, but I don't think we'll have to wait long. My best guess is it will be announced at about the same time as the Best of Christmas tour in about 2-3 weeks.
She might come back at some point late next year, but I think there's a good chance that Sue has taken her last bow for Celtic Woman. While I'm always really excited for new members, I think Sue's departure is going to be about as painful for me as Chloë's and that was pretty devastating.

Re: the High Kings + Celtic Woman video... https://www.facebook.com/frances.dobbin.16/videos/1638893212832466/It was another creative dress choice for Sue to keep us in suspense. From the front, it doesn't look like it at first. But the narrowest part of that outfit seems to be a bit higher than her waistline. From the side, it does look a bit disproportionate. I'm still not sure. It's possible she isn't, but there have been clues that something was up for a while (aside from the mounting number of photos and videos). For instance, I found it odd that Anto's album (which was released years ago) was offered at the merch table during this tour (signed copies, no less). I can't remember if I mentioned it on this forum, but that reminded me of how Mairead Nesbitt's Raining Up made a few appearances at venues on the Destiny tour. I'm leaning towards thinking that yes, she is. But regardless of whether she is or isn't, let's keep it quiet. I suspect we'll find out in about 3 weeks when the Christmas tour is likely to be announced.

I received my pre-ordered physical copy of The Gift of Music today!
I've got to say, of all the CDs I have in my collection, this one has one of the nicest album inserts and tray liners. All the photos look fantastic and have great color. The photos are a combination of ones that really pop and others that have a warm but soothing tone.
The insert booklet includes a very lovely thank you note. For me, an album insert doesn't often warrant the use of tissues, but this was one of those rare occasions. That note really tugs at the heartstrings.
I don't think we'll ever see Margaret Keys in Celtic Woman. She certainly has the voice, the personality, and the look for the part, but the tour schedule wouldn't suit her. Never say never though.
I love everything about this album to a degree that, for me, is almost exclusively reserved for Celtic Woman. It truly is a precious gift.

The "Other" David Downes
There's another David Downes in the music industry and the two sometimes get confused on discography sites, retail sites, etc.
The other David Downes is: - From New Zealand (not Ireland) - Associated with White Cloud Records (not Celtic Collections)
To make things more confusing the Ireland David Downes was involved with "Christmas Carols by the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral" (2008). The title refers to a cathedral in Dublin, not the city of Christchurch (or the Christ Church cathedral therin) in New Zealand where Hayley Westenra is from. David Downes (from Ireland, not from New Zealand) did work with Hayley (from New Zealand) on a couple of her albums.
Here are some of the works of the "other" (New Zealand) David Downes:
Saltwater (1994)
White Cloud Sampler, Vol. 1 (1995) Gathering The Rusted Wheel of Things
Sinfonie New Zealand (1995)
Pavilion (1995)
The Rusted Wheel of Things (1995)
Because of the Rain (James Wilkinson) (1998)
From the Mists of Time (2000) Shadow of a Cloud Sanctuary Beloved

Lyrics: The Thing About You (unofficial)
Lyrics are by Chloë Agnew / Joshua Spacht. I am posting for informational purposes only and will remove if requested.
I've been trying to leave it all behind Trying to find my way on my own I've been lying trying to stop my mind Every time I'm reminded of you
'Cause I do what I'd do And I don't know where I'd go How would I start again When there's one thing I know
Chorus: The thing about you Got me believin' that all my leavin' Was much to soon And the thing about you I can't deny it And I can't hide it That's why I'm comin' home The thing about you
I was driving through the night And fighting through the miles and memories of you I was blinded by the crazy kind of thinkin' I'd be fine with someone new
'Cause I do where I'd go And I don't know what I'd do If this were the end of the road When you're all that I know
Chorus: The thing about you Got me believin' that all my leavin' Was much to soon And the thing about you I can't deny it And I can't hide it That's why I'm comin' home The thing about you
Woah, whoa, whoa The thing about you
Maybe it's time that we gave it another chance Look at how far we've come Don't say that we can't And every time I take a breath It's you It's you
Maybe I've broken your heart one too many times Maybe you've moved on or maybe you'll still be mine And every time I take a breath It's you It's you
Chorus (variant): The thing about you Got me believin' that all my leavin' Was much to soon And the thing about you I can't deny it No I won't fight it That's why I'm comin' home The thing about you
Whow, whoa, whoa The thing about you
Whow, whoa, whoa
I've been lying trying to stop my mind Every time I'm reminded of you
