It would be nice to have a little tribute section to mention all of those who had performed at Christmas concerts since TMOC came out. Also, what if they got a feature on there, à la the 20th anniversary special? Like if we had all the members since 2019 (minus maybe Chloë because I don’t think she performed for any Symphony concerts) perform Auld Lang Syne. That’s probably an impossible request, but it could be sweet 🤷♀️ (this is also partially because I miss Emma 😭 also, does anyone have any clips of her singing Do You Hear What I Hear?)
I have been listening to the 20th songs lately, like Sionann and Rainbow. Emma is so good. I wish there is some way she can come back.

So there is going to be a show in my area. Logged on to the venue's website. The venue's "members" could buy their ticket starting Wednesday. General Public can't buy them until Saturday. The venue is offering a VIP package, which includes a meet and greet, but it appears it is only open to their members
@dbbii: Out of curiosity, which venue is this? Are you going to any other shows near you? I think there are quite a few.

Thanks for posting. Even if AI is not 100% correct, that was mostly new info to me. I would have been able to spot that was an AI answer by the last line of your last post, where it used "New Era" out of context. On a side note, when I search for concert dates (e.g. before the official announcements), I find the AI answers are oftentimes wrong. It will get the concert date from other random concerts listed on the same webpage or from previous years.

I know where you are coming from. It is so easy now & more common for artists to put out 'visualizers', lyric videos, or in this case yule log videos. I thought there would be some videos for Nollaig since they teased it with some BTS videos.
They did do a good job on Christmas Cards. If I ever get around to it, I am going to make a hard CD of that EP & try to make it look professionally made.

I think most likely Siúil A Rún, though maybe Isle Of Innisfree.
Yes, I think of those and Carrickfergus.
But since Meav sang a new song for the 20th that she sang on her own previously, I was trying to think of a similar song for Orla. I like Red Is The Rose, which Mairead added later as a single. So that would have brought the whole thing full circle.
My guess has to why Meav sang a new song, which BTW best thing ever because it's become my favorite lullaby, but makes me wonder is because Dulaman was already done as a group opening and Danny Boy remains a group song. She could of done Si Do Mahieimi but she already done it on Destiny.
I would think for Orla having a song featuring her playing the Harp would absolutely be a must!
Perhaps this could be another topic As much as Lisa Kelly did fine given Caledonia, I feel the impact would have made it extra more special if she did Fields of Gold again because many years have passed since those summer days as we walked in Fields of Gold, oh we'll walk in as a salute to on going new lineups. The Blessing would of been another great one. If you feel as I do about Caledonia, I would love to hear your opinion takes, was it the best selection.
I actually LOVE the song selection for Lisa Kelly, in terms of the meaning. The song is about returning home. It reminds me of Lisa's return home to CW, since she left for such a long time and reportedly said she would never come back. Here is the chorus. Let me tell you that I love you and I think about you all the time Caledonia you're calling me and I'm going home But if I should become a stranger you know that it would make me more than sad Caledonia's been everything I've ever had

Both Meg and Mairéad Carlin are planning to release long-awaited original music in 2026. Muirgen also announced she’s releasing new music in the new year. Lisa Lambe has another album coming in spring 2026 as well, which can be pre-ordered on Patreon.
Has Mairead posted any clips or samples of her new music (aside from Orphan Girl which was in 2024 I think)? I know Muirgen has.

@GlenS
Personally, I am OK with stickers. Two good examples of where they do sticker autographs are: - Books. If you google "bookplate", basically that's a sticker authors use to sign copies of their books (e.g. on the title page). - Trading cards (e.g. baseball cards). It was not well received at first, but now a standard. Card companies have players sign sheets of stickers instead of the actual card.
If you want to see some sticker autographs, look on my old New Members thread. The PFI CD has a sticker autograph from Susan McFadden. I sent her a sticker to sign b/c I didn't want to risk losing in the mail my CD cover signed by all the other ladies.
Your idea of sending a 2nd album cover is good. But not sure if you'd have to cover additional shipping, e.g. from Ireland.

I got my Vinyl today only one problem it wasn't signed anyone else get something that should have been signed and wasn't. The CD I got in the begining of the week was signed Kind of Sad that the vinyl isn't signed
I didn't order the vinyl album. So IDK. I did check the Rewards section on her Kickstarter. It is supposed to be signed. Double check. Honestly, I first thought my CD wasn't signed b/c the signatures are so small. Also look on the record itself. I could see them signing the album instead of the cover.

Hi Tom. I appreciate your Year In Reviews, and your reviews in general. This was a fun read. I can think of one thing that can be added: - Muirgen and Tara (& Alex) did a StageIt concert in July.

-This is assuming they didn’t want her back…maybe they asked her and she didn’t want to? That makes more sense because why wouldn’t they want Órla 😭
I have also wondered the same question. My personal theory has been they asked her, but she declined. But I've never heard anything anywhere on the subject, like you kind of alluded to. 25 is a big anniversary for a lot of shows, e.g. Riverdance, Phantom, Les Mis. I'm hoping this gets corrected for 25, in addition to inviting everyone. Everyone = 20 CW.

If you have a chance, watch The Celtic Tenors new PBS special "Live at the Empire." It was airing recently and is on PBS Passport for those with active PBS memberships.
There are some great harmonies!
You'll see a few familiar faces, including: - John O'Brien on pipes, whistles and guitar. He played whistles for Celtic Woman for a while, including on Destiny. He was also in Riverdance and Celtic Thunder. - Matt Gilsenan (Deirdre Shannon's brother) - George Hutton (He's the new member of The Celtic Tenors. You might recall him from Megan's stories a few years ago or from his recent work with the legend Phil Coulter.) - If you pay close attention during the credits, David Hayes did musical arrangements for the show. He's done plenty of work with Glenn Murphy over the years.
That was a good concert. What a diverse collection of songs! I never thought I'd hear a Guns N Roses song in a Celtic concert. Haha! I do like Matt Gilsenan. I've seen duets he's done with Deirdre that they've posted online. Also I think the guest performers (Next Generation Leahy) almost stole the show. Is that trad? IDK but it reminded me of BIIRD, which is trad reinvented.

That's weird. It still doesn't work for me. Maybe each local PBS has different content, although that doesn't seem right.
Are you a passport member it says the same thing for me but I am not a passport member thats the only way you can watch it
Yes. The funny thing is I started watching the video the day Tom posted it here. When I went back another day to finish it, the video was "gone".
I finally got it to work! My local station setting was wrong. So I do think the location setting matters!!!
