General Discussion / Question about ordering from manheadmerch
« on: March 12, 2023, 08:23:45 PM »
Has anyone ordered from CW manheadmerch.com and got what you ordered only to find it was damaged in shipping. I have order 2 things that were ordered thru celticwoman.manheadmerch.com this is a company here in the states that handels CW merch. Problem is if it's damaged like mine were they offered me a $5.00 refund for a damaged program and calendar and would not replace them they were kinked and floded. Everything I now order is ordered off CW web site and comes from Ierland and has never gotten damaged. So anyone else have a problem??

This is how I will answer this question is the 1 that has 400+ friends is personal and the one with 17k followers is public since that account doesn't allow friends hope it make sense but I have sent Mairead a question will see if I get a answer

Lisa L News / Lisa's Monday anoucement
« on: February 20, 2023, 01:26:08 AM »
I got this message from Lisa on the 16th

Hi Glen

I have good news to share with you about my work.
Next Monday I will be announcing that I have launched a Patreon page.

As you have shown me so much support here I wanted you to be amongst the first to personally hear about it.

Patreon is a platform for artists to build memberships.
I think of it like my artist’s studio where I will be sharing my work every week exclusively with my patrons.
A place that allows me to record and release music directly as and when I make it.

I am really excited by the new opportunities and artistic freedom that this big new step is going to bring me and my work.

I hope to see you over there.
Follow the link to join me.

Eabha McMahon / Re: Eabha's patreon page
« on: February 08, 2023, 12:22:25 AM »
I would like to put my 2 cents in on this. I don't do any patreon's for any artist or any other person. These are my own thoughts and feelings so no fair hanging me afterwards

1 I feel that some artist's forget about all the other fans they have that are not patreon's. Like Eabha I love her but she has lost many normal fans non Patreon's what has she posted other then a photo or 2 on instagram other then that she has posted nothing. other then on Patreon

I support a Artist my way by watching there youtube posts, This forum, the 10 or so FB and Twitter accounts by posting ad's for there new CD's or DVD's and EP's or post links to stageit shows Buying CD, DVDs, EP'S  this is how I support a Artist. I know it's not the same as being a patreon but when you live on a very fixed income that isn't really very high in fact it's fairly low I live On S.S. and a small monthly income of $500.00 a month. This is why i don't do patreon but like I said the artist has to remember the little guys without the little guys alot of artists wouldn't make it

By all means if you can afford to be a Patreon be one but do what you can to remind the Artist's not to forget the little guys No Artist can afford to loose the non Patreon fans

So no shooting me because of how I feel about this topic I still am a big fan of Eabha's she just has to remember us non Patreon fans

Thanks

lisa knows me we have met several times at shows at the after hours meet and great meaning stagedoor and inhouse meet and greats one year I took my 5 year old grand daughter to one and lisa fell in love with her and this was a show that the girls started a song in the isles and she came and picked up my grand daughter and was dancing around with her. Then we met up after the show by the bus along with Mairead N. and we talked out there for almost a 1/2 hour.

One other reason Lisa knows me and answers my questions is when her CD Hiding Away (2015) came out I order 1 from Amazon and yup they sent me 1 that is 1 case of CD'S and they come 40 to a case. So I contacted lisa and worked with her and her label to return the other 39

Lisa came to me to ask for help with her Wiki page and she knows I own this site

What are some normal ways to sign off on a letter? For example, 'Yours truly', 'Sincerely', etc.

I have an autograph from one of the CW, and I can't read her writing on the 'sign off' greeting.

Ok, I took a pic! What's that say?

I messaged Lisa and asked her she should answer me it's not the first time we have chated

Hannah Traynor / Re: New member.
« on: January 29, 2023, 12:44:15 AM »
Why is Hannah's picture in the CW website grayed out? Usually that means they are not current. The rest are in color. Couldn't CW post a color photo to help match the others?

That is the photo thats always been there since they first posted a photo of her

@GlenS : That's awesome! That's a lot of hard work and good memories right there! Nice job! And there's no better place to show it off than right here, where everyone would appreciate it.

Where did you get that painting of Tara? I agree you gotta get that signed!

Aguy over on FaceBook does them his name is Stan Drobot he does them from a photo I paid $250.00 for this one and he shipped it to me. I think he has paided every CW gal and many other people below is his FB page

https://www.facebook.com/stan.drobot.7

I found the photo he used to paint it from and here it is

Sorry. Let me clarify. I'm pretty sure it's in Irish / Gaelic. So let me repost my question:

What are some normal ways to sign off on a letter in Irish? For example, I've seen them sign "Slainté".

@GlenS: I love autographs. I'd love to see pics. Send me a link if you've already posted it on here somewhere.

Don't thiink I ever posted this here but here is 4 photos of some of what I have. Alot of the the show programs are signed inside. I also have a painting of Tara and I have a show bill poster of Lisa L show for her CD after leaving CW and it is signed by Lisa and I also have a show bill poster from a CW show and to finish off I have 7 more show programs that I have not found a space for.

I would give anything to get Tara to sign that painting
