Try this:
Irish

I tried it and the tag said $5 off. Better than nothing.

I have an expired code. It might be worth a try on the PC anyways. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Sorry to bump up an old post again. But someone finally posted the hi quality vid for For The Love Of A Princess on YouTube. I've been looking for it for a while. It's nice to have it playing on the computer and/or on my playlist.

wow! so that's your youtube channel :P

No, that's not my YouTube channel. But I'm going to bookmark it! I need to thank that person for this video! (Of course I've seen it before.)

Welcome! This is a really neat place here. A great way to find out insider info, and even meet up with other CW fans.

I like to ask people this. Who is on your Mt. Rushmore of CW (e.g. pick a violinist and 3 or 4 singers)?

Mairead Nesbitt / Re: Celtic Spells show

I had thought about going to one of the shows. But we had prior appointments.  >:(

I appreciate the review. I didn't know it was about a Catholic & a Protestant! A pastor at my church has all kind of Catholic / Protestant stories from Ireland. He is from Co. Tipperary (same as Mairead I think).

I will have to listen to the CD again, and read all the notes again.

Thanks for the report.

*** SPOILER ALERT ***
Don't read this post if you want to watch the special for yourself first.

*** ***

My random thoughts on the PBS special, not really a review.

If you want a video preview of the show, I posted a link about 6 posts up.

Pros.
- Song choices. I like that they went back to traditional Irish standards.
- Ronan. He fits right in, and they all get along well during the interviews. Plus the CW connection is always a plus.

Cons.
- Missing faces. No Ryan Kelly (personal reasons), no Seana Davey (harp), no Nicole Hudson (fiddle).
- No stage choreography. They stood at their mics the whole time. I'm not sure if the tours are different.
- Missing energy. The crowd seemed tiny, and no wide shots for us to see. So it wasn't as energetic as usual.
- No "Ireland's Call". This was the CT calling card.

General impressions.
- In one of the interviews, they said it's their 1st special since 2017.
- Generally, a different vibe they are going for. The CD itself sounds like 'traditional' CT. The special does not IMHO. It's much more cozy & intimate, and a little 'tame' for a CT show.
- I enjoyed it, but I probably won't watch it over & over every time it is on PBS (like CW 20th for example).

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look.

I just saw Odyssey on PBS. I won't post here. I'll have to tag my post with a spoiler alert if I review it.

Hannah Traynor / Re: Hannah was in the recording studio

Nice find! That is good to hear that she is continuing to sing & record.

I guess I will have to Google Sorcha Fenlon, Morgan Brothers, and Lorna Breen now.

PS. Oh I see they are mentioned on this link you posted a while ago.

Oh that's interesting. I assume this is for PBS? I have been thinking lately it's odd there are no CT shows on PBS Passport and nothing on the air this past Christmas at all (usually they play the old Christmas show).

I still think they "owe" PBS a concert from the cancelled tour in 2022. My PBS station has this note:
Celtic Thunder Ireland
April 6, 2022
Concert has been postponed. Hold onto your tickets, new dates coming soon!

Hmm. Something is cooking. Since this thread was started and my last post above, my PBS station changed that message to this:

Celtic Thunder Ireland
New Fall Date
Tickets not available yet,
check back soon!

My PBS station now has a date for Fall 2024. Tickets & Soundcheck packages. No M&G I think. I guess CT doesn't do M&G, even for PBS.

I made sure to introduce myself to him after the Christmas show.  ;)

Super nice! Is this a little tradition you have with the ladies? That's so neat!

30
Last Friday I had a PBS meet & greet in Fort Lauderdale. They brought us into a room that had lots of tables and food, so people were asking if the food was for us but it was just where the cast and crew had eaten earlier. All four of the ladies were there. It was pretty much the same as meet and greets that we had pre-covid. The ladies stood in a corner and everyone lined up to say hello and take a photo. Gregg & I kept letting people go in front of us so we could be last. Their tour manager has seen us plenty of times and he lets us have plenty of time with the ladies. We each got to chat with all four of them and we weren't rushed. The corner they were in was kind of dark, but the photos still turned out nicely. It was before the show and they were in their first act dresses. We had a great time!

Sounds great, esp. that you weren't rushed. Is there time to get a CD signed? You see them so much, your probably don't think about autographs any more.  ;)

Thanks for the info!!!
