For anyone that missed the news on the Celtic Woman Official Fan Group on Facebook, Celtic Woman is selling Meet and Greet tickets to a large number of the Christmas tour shows:

Come & celebrate the festive season in person with Celtic Woman.

Wow! That's something different - no PBS in the mix. Thanks for the info!

Oh no!!! They don't have M&G at the show I'm going to. I might have to email them.  :(

I saw this and had some questions/concerns.  Is the price out of line?  Maybe.  I paid $300 each for a show in Fort Myers, FL earlier this year.  Granted, that included front row tickets, and I could list it on my taxes as a contribution to PBS.  Sp $153 plus, maybe $150 for a great ticket isn't necessarily out of line.  However, it's interesting that now this money goes to CW, not to PBS.  Is PBS going to promote CW as much now?

As LakersCeltic mentioned, the show I would consider going to is in Atlanta, and right now it's not listed.  Went to Atlanta last year (2023) Christmas and it was one of the best M&G's I've been to.  The PBS station fed us and had an open bar!  The M&G was more money.  The M&G was nothing special -- rushed, in front a a curtain in the basement.  However, after a few "adult beverages" it didn't bother me.  I guess I'll have to reach out to the Atlanta PBS station.

Yeah, I am wondering if this has more far reaching implications about PBS & CW. Hmm.

@dbbii: I just sent an email to Celtic Collections. I specifically asked about CA and Atlanta, and if they will possibly add more M&G dates later.

I also sent an email to the Atlanta PBS.  Got an answer saying yes they were doing various special packages.  Top one was $750 for a pair.  Have not made up my mind yet if I'll do it.

@dbbii
Thanks for the info. I may email my PBS also. Hmm.

I'm sure your PBS packages include a ticket (unlike the Celtic Collections M&G). Do you already have a ticket?

The Atlanta prices include a show ticket.  Went last year.  PBS had a party for a lot of their donors.  Food, booze, etc.  The M&G was only for a bout 20 people (including me!!!).  Nothing special about this.  Downstairs in a hallway in front of a backdrop.  You basically had time to say hi.  Tickets were second row.

Was considering going to Washington DC this year to see some of the trees, etc.

My PBS station said no plans for packages right now. :(

Your PBS M&G w/ food & booze sounds pretty good. More bang for your buck.

Yeah.  I stayed close to the venue, so I was able to get my money's worth of the booze!!!

I still never heard back from CW (corporate) on M&G for the 1st show. I'm kind of surprised I didn't hear anything, even a quick "no". Because they are usually good at responding.

I decided I would go to the show in Washington, DC.  Got M&G from CW.  2nd row tickets for $100.  Hotels are generally high, especially since I didn't want to rent a car.

Then, of course, Lisa Kelly announced her Masterclass for Sunday, 12/14.  Luckily, my DC show was Friday night, so decided to fly to Atlanta Saturday night, especially since she's starting her class at 11:00.

Busy 5 days.

Have fun! Let us know how the M&G is. Hopefully it is not as rushed.

In case you missed it, Muirgen posted a short video on her IG last week from the SLC M&G I think. It shows them standing up & signing a bunch of stuff on a table.  ;D
