A Christmas Symphony Tour 2024 / Re: White Christmas Symphony Tour 2024
« on: November 12, 2024, 12:25:03 AM »
Well from what I can see, there’s 21 songs, the playlist is 1 hour 15 long. The first songs are:

- Hark The Herald Angels Sing
- Angels We Have Heard On High
- Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (indeed!!)
- Don Oíche Úd I mBeithil
- Ding Dong (which may stand for Ding Dong Merrily on High)
On one of the file in the desk there’s one named I’ll Be Home, which might be Lisa solo from Home For Christmas?
Yes it is. You’d think there are a few old songs being resurrected because of Lisa — though I know Eabha took Lisa’s old solos when she was new.

Spring Tour 2025 / Re: Tour announcement guesses.
« on: November 12, 2024, 12:18:39 AM »
I'm starting to think if there will be a tour in 2025. I haven't seen them post pushing their website for 2025 Tour dates. Could they be focusing on the Symphony Tour right now with Emma being on leave until she returns? Are they unsure when she'll return if there's someone to sub in for a Tour in 2025? Were the dates posted on the venue websites posted early and they were just hold dates to reserve the venue until Tour plans are finalize?

What are your thoughts?
They often post venue dates while the current year tour is still going on but often as it’s coming to a close
Is it possible that Emma doesn’t return until the next time they record?? Wonder if Europe would be Mairead/Muirgen/Lisa/Tara???

Spring Tour 2025 / Re: Tour announcement guesses.
« on: November 12, 2024, 12:14:49 AM »
There is not going to be a spring tour they are doing a EU tour They said from Feb to June so we are maybe looking for a fall tour here in the states
Did they say if the Europe tour will be 20 or a different show??
We’d think there’s still a leg or two left to do of 20 before anything else.
Do we think??
- Feb—June: EU tour.
- Summer: new recording.
- Fall: US tour (probably last leg of 20).

My alleged guess was Hannah didn't really realize what she was about to face with the long tour!  ;D but that can be my imagination shouldn't she have knowledge of that before accepting the offer. Something happened between her and management that led her to drop...🤦‍♂️ I have no clue.
Be glad to see Mairead Carlin though.

It's quite hard to name just one or two or basically which is the most outside off you're favorite because Hannah's abrupt departure so quick was surprising even though later we could understand why she had to.. Some may been surprised by Lisa Kelly but infact Chloe's return for The Celebration Tour was one as well having both heard them say they are done and would never well I kinda believed that more so for Lisa and to me Chloe just bubbly going along! 😉
Did no 2023 spring tour play a part in Hannah leaving??

I don't remember, but no because I remember Hannah left after the Symphony Tour and Emma was right in with Mairead Carlin rejoining for Spring 2024.
Hannah did the Christmas 2022 tour.
Emma was introduced in May 2023.
Mairead returned in July 2023 + Hannah was announced as leaving then -- later that month they hit the studio to record 20 before taping the concert a month later.
The Christmas 2023 tour was Emma, Mairead, Muirgen, Tara (seeing that one + 20 four months apart was the first time that I had gone to two back to back Celtic Woman shows with the same four leads).

I'm still wondering if they asked MC to come back because Hannah was leaving. Or if they asked MC to come back and then asked Hannah to leave. If MC didn't come back, it would have been 3 (relatively) "new" singers + Tara for the 20th anniversary.
Excuse me??? Fire Hannah??? You really think so???
Either way Mairead filled the vacancy left open by Hannah.

Emerald / Re: Anyone ever wondered
« on: October 20, 2024, 09:52:20 PM »
Has anyone ever wondered why Chloe's solo's for this recording had to be the two solo's she done on Believe especially it being the special right before this...

Hearing Lisa Lambe do a solo version of Bridge Over Troubled Water is different but to me I wasn't thrilled for Chloe singing again her Believe solo's not that there's anything wrong with them, I do like the candles touch with Ave Maria. I do get this is supposed be a tour concert recording experience so I get why these songs are in.. and Chloe doesn't have any new songs but I mean imagine her if she did The Voice or Dulaman would've been fun and different maybe special.
Is it possible given that the DVD is a live recording of a USA Believe tour stop if it's partially due to the fact they just took the tour setlist and used it for the special???

Lisa Lambe / Re: Welcome back Lisa Lambe.
« on: October 01, 2024, 05:57:40 PM »
Yeah and they didn't get much time together on that tour.
She did christmas '14 too right and that was the end for her???

What about Believe 2.0? Did Mairead join halfway? If so half and half makes one tour...
Yes. Mairead and her did fall 2013 in Europe, Christmas 2013, Australia 2014 and started emerald together before Lisa was in and out.

Celtic Woman: The Original Show / Re: Happy 20th Anniversary!
« on: September 20, 2024, 09:42:35 PM »
I believe that was the longest lineup since the originals.
Might’ve been. Of course Mairead N departed after the North American leg of the Destiny tour was over.
The shortest lasting individual member (non sub) is Hannah.
The longest lasting members are Mairead C with 9 years (2013-21 & 2023–current — this is subtracting her absence), Susan with 10 years total (6 as main member + being a sub from 2019-22  and recording Postcards/Christmas cards  from Ireland),  Chloe with 11 years (combining her two tenures)  & Mairead N with 12 years.

I'm catching up & enjoy everyone's posts.  ;D

The lineup for VOA & Homecoming (and Destiny too ...) might be my favorite. Not to take anything away from all the other great lineups. But we all have our personal favorites.
The Destiny/VOA/Homecoming group came after a time when it seemed like every year or other year someone was leaving.

Spring Tour 2025 / Re: Tour announcement guesses.
« on: September 17, 2024, 01:51:48 PM »

Knowing it's uncertain about if they even will tour I have a feeling that whatever they do do tour wise if they do tour in the new year may be more performances of 20 -- they have only done the one North American leg and I assume they want to take 20 elsewhere given that they didn't get to do the 15th anniversary tour elsewhere (10 was Europe in January--February 2015 then North America from March-June then a summer rest then down under then back to North America for the duration of October then back to the UK to finish up in November). I have not seen anything on their instas showing a stack of sheet music/any one or two of them in the studio standing at a mic so is it safe to assume they may not have been recording this summer which is why I'm feeling like next year maybe more legs of the 20 tour.

Hmm. Yeah, there hasn't been any news or clues on FB or IG. I'm starting to think like you that they might do the 20th tour in more places. That's a lot of "mileage" from one set of songs, isn't it? Three years? 2023 = recording; 2024 = tour US; 2025 = tour other countries.

Every now & then, I try to find any new venue bookings in Europe, UK, Asia, etc. No luck so far.
Yeah. All they have done is the US tour and usually they do more in a given year.
