New Musical Director???

I was checking Daragh O'toole's website (don't ask me why, I don't know) and then I noticed that he removed all mentions to Celtic Woman.

This is the page now, with no mention to Celtic Woman at all:

And this is the same page in August 2022, where he mentions his work with Celtic Woman:

His departure of the group's musical direction would very much explain why they had to cancel this year tour in order to give a new musical director space to work on new material. And as well the lack of a direct reason for us, the fans, about it since it is a very internal matter.

Well, based on Postcards and to a lesser extent, Christmas Cards, I'm sort of relieved, if true. He's fine, but not a good fit for the group. What they really need to change is whoever has been doing the mixing.

Based on what's going on with other artists, I think the main reason for not doing a 2023 spring tour is challenges booking enough venues in a viable sequence. Changing MDs would probably affect the tour too, but it would be cancelled regardless of a MD change.

Oh wow. Let's see if it ends up being true. But it is a telling sign, like when people scrub their social media accounts.

You probably don't need a Musical Director to make a *true* compilation album for the 20th anniversary, do you? e.g. Celebration & Decade. Hmm...
