Glenn & Ronan's album Horizon now has a release date of April 13th. It's available for pre-order now and there's an instant download track if you pre-order. I'm looking forward to hearing this whole album. The bits of it that I have heard so far are beautiful.

Here's a brief article on Glenn & Ronan and the new album:

Note: The article mentions the release date is February, but the actual release date changed since then to April 13.

The album has released!

I listened on Spotify while I wait for my CD to arrive:

It was REALLY good!

I might post more later this weekend. For now, off to the Celtic Woman Meet and Greet!

Why oh Why do young artists do this and put up there work for sale all over the place and then they post it on Spottily and such for people to listen to it with full versions of the songs. One good way to loose sales of there CD because it's so easy to steal the music all you need is a piece of software and you have the music for free. I can have there new CD in 50 mins for free

Yep.

They do apparently get royalties from Spotify, but I'm sure it's fractions of a cent per listen.

I think there's a case for getting their music out there. One people hear it and like it, the net gain of sales might be more than the loss from people just listening for free. Spotify is only free on desktop (not on mobile devices) and they probably get a bigger cut from subscribers than their cut from advertising for free plays.

Horizon consists of original songs as well as some covers.

The album Horizon released on iTunes last Friday (April 13, 2018)!
... The same day I had my meet and greet with Celtic Woman!

The album went straight to #1 on the main iTunes chart!

The CD officially released on Thursday, April 19, 2018,
... One year to the day I had my first ever meet and greet with Celtic Woman!

 :o

Coincidence? Definitely.

But still pretty cool, huh?  ;)

Here's an article that includes a video of Close My Eyes, one of the tracks from the album:

The lads performed a bit of "How Was It?" from Horizon on The Six O'Clock Show on TV3:
