Christmas meet and greets are rare, but they do happen occasionally. I didn't know of any on the most recent Christmas tour. I did have a meet and greet for the finale of the Magic of Christmas tour, which turned out to be Éabha's final show, although I didn't know that at the time. So that was a really special one! Without meet and greet, buying tickets from PBS would mainly be for if you want to donate to PBS. There's no guarantee of getting good seats from them and you likely won't find out what your seats are until a few weeks before the show. I've gotten anything from row 1 to about row 15 from PBS.

Over the years, I've had mixed feelings about PBS tickets.  In the "early" years, you got really good seats.  Part of this may have been due to the fact that not a lot of people knew about CW.  As the years went on, the really good seats (and I'm thinking first couple of rows) were being kept by the venue for their premium members.  You couldn't get a M&G thru the venue, the M&G mostly became a photo op.

Hmm.

Yeah. The more I hear & read about the PBS tickets and M&G, there's a little bit of luck involved. I'm leaning towards just buying the tickets straight from the venue. Assuming I can get good seats on my own.

Thanks for the input.

PS. I just checked my emails from last yr with my PBS rep (RE: Christmas Symphony). That was in June '22. So maybe we'll know the full schedule by June '23?

Well it's June. Currently in the forum calendar, there are ~ 6 concerts in 5 cities in a span of 2-3 weeks. Hopefully a bunch more will be advertised in the coming weeks for the Christmas tour to 'achieve critical mass'...

Received an email today from the Colorado Symphony, announcing it's 2023/24 Season.  It includes a Celtic Woman: Best of Christmas Tour Concert on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Boettcher Hall, in Denver CO.  Single tickets go on sale on June 12, 2023.

Here's a link to the concert listing on the Colorado Symphony's website:   https://tickets.coloradosymphony.org/6689/6698?_ga=2.105694723.1088172983.1678147136-570066318.1678147136&_gl=1*z8ehr4*_ga*NTcwMDY2MzE4LjE2NzgxNDcxMzY.*_ga_V099ZPM1LL*MTY3ODE0NzEzNS4xLjEuMTY3ODE0ODE4MS41Ni4wLjA.

Fellow Forumites,

If you don't want to wait until June 12th to buy tickets for the Christmas Symphony Concert in Denver, the Colorado Symphony Orcehestra started a presale this morning; the presale code is:   YOURSYMPHONY.

Good luck,

Bob

Fellow Forumites,

This one is not yet listed on the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) website, but Georgia PBS is offering 3 options for ticket pairs to the Celtic Woman's Christmas Concert with the ASO, on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Atlanta Symphony Hall.  Given the date, this may well be the last Concert of the 2023 Christmas Tour. The options (brace yourself because they ain't cheap!) are as follows:

$700 - pair of Pit tickets with Meet & Greet passes (as noted in earlier posts, Meet & Greets are rare in Christmas Tours), pre-Concert Reception, and parking

$550 - pair of Front Orchestra tickets, pre-Concert Reception, and parking

$400 - pair of Front Orchestra tickets and parking

Here's a link to the Georgia PBS website - https://gpbtv.pledgecart.org/home?campaign=5F3B6A9A-D89A-4B06-9987-D27A90D63F07&source=

Be well,

Bob

Nice finds, thank you! Bought our Colorado Symphony tickets yesterday. That's always the Christmas favorite for me & Gregg.

Despite multiple issues with the GA PBS website, I got the premium package for the Atlanta Christmas tour.  So, probably a couple hundred bucks for a hotel room and another hundred for gas, this becomes my Christmas present to my daughter who's going with me.  Still probably cheaper than the last trip to see the girls at Red Rocks!

If the Minnesota orchestra is not going to get the Christmas tour they’d BETTER squeeze in a Minnesota date like the one in 2019. Mystic Lake where they were then or even State Theatre where I’ve been to two past shows (or Orpheum where they came in 2005, 06, 07, 13 & 17)

Five (six soon I hope) shows.
Songs from the Heart -- 4/26/2011.
Voices of Angels -- June 11, 2017 (plus meet & Greet).
Ancient Land -- May 18, 2019.
PFI — April 16, 2022 -- After two pushbacks due to COVID.
Symphony: December 9, 2023 — At last.
20th anniversary tour -- I hope so.

Hi Admins,

I think this might be the new 2023 Christmas logo:
https://nortoncenter.com/event/celtic-woman-christmas/

I'll try to put this in the calendar now, if someone hasn't already. Or anyone can if I don't get to it today.

It's official. Christmas dates are on the official CW website. At first glance, it looks like the forum calendar is 100% correct ... so far.

December 3 is followed by 3 days off as is December 7.
There better be a Minnesota date on the 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th or 10th.

Key to a tour is the travel distance.  Take Cedar Falls, IA to Salt Lake City.  According to Google, that's a 17ish hour drive.  So, chances are there is at least one overnight stop on the way, primarily for the bus driver.  I doubt they fly.  Flying in the winter has it's own set of challenges.  And, in this case, it's and 8 hour flight with a connection.

Same thing at the end of the tour.  How do you get from California to South Carolina?
